Hunter H. Kerrison, MHA
President
Hunter received an undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in corporate communication and business from the Ithaca College School of Communications. She completed her master’s in health administration with honors at the Medical University of South Carolina.
In 2001, Hunter opened HHK Marketing and Planning Inc., a consulting firm specializing in strategic marketing services for healthcare-related organizations. She has created and implemented comprehensive marketing campaigns and strategic planning services with quantitative ROI for firms throughout the Southeast.
Her previous experience includes administrator positions at Sentara Health System in Norfolk, Virginia, and the Medical University of South Carolina and Bon Secours-St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. From 1996 to 2000, Hunter served as the vice president of marketing and community relations for Trident Health System. Throughout her tenure with HCA’s flagship hospital in the Southeast, her primary responsibilities included marketing and public relations, strategic planning, market analysis, product line, and facility development, event planning, employed provider contracts and relations, and legislative and community relations.
Hunter is an adjunct professor for the College of Charleston School of Business and the Medical University of South Carolina Department of Health Administration and Policy. She is a member of national professional organizations in the field of healthcare administration and strategic planning. Hunter is also active in numerous business associations, community boards, and not-for-profit fundraising events. Over fifty published works span her field of expertise. Married to Lea B. Kerrison, attorney and founder of Kerrison Law, Hunter, her husband, and their two daughters reside in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
